Went to the local festival last evening wit some other people to practise our photography skills. Wasn’t really in photography mood and did not shoot any great pictures. Go to my Flickr page to view the only nice pic.

China really outdid itself with the opening and closing ceremonies. Very impressive. Good show. Even a lot of famous artists (Jackie Chan!) were there. Stupid dutch presenter did not recognize him right away. And did not know any of the others of course. At least they could have mentioned them for the people who do know or would like to know. Oh well. Decided to “enhance” some old pictures. This one was taken in Hongkong. Not a very nice picture. Sky is totally overexposed. But with these “enhancements” in Aperture I can live with the result. Hongkong, nice place…

Haven’t been up to much this week. Last weekend had BBQ, joined family for a birthday party. During the week I worked very hard at the office, had lunch with Mirjam, visited my brother in law at the hospital, had dinner with mom and dad. Last night went to an art street fair and spend the evening chatting and drinking. I always drink wine, not beer.

Today went to the antiques market that was set up in town. Not big. Interesting though. Also been watching the whole Olympic Opening ceremony. Impressively done. Now watching Kathy Griffin - Life on the D-list. I love it that she just says almost anything. She speaks her mind and is funny. And she’s finally an american who’s not thanking God for everything…
